Office Redesign for Zest In Bournemouth

A modern office for a modern company was the office redesign brief for fresh-thinking Bournemouth-based insurance company, Zest. Putting their twist on traditional insurance, Zest wanted an office space that showcased their growth journey from satellite insurance company to established provider of fresh home appliance and technology insurance products.
Their building in Bournemouth is four stories high, and a key feature of their office redesign was wide open-plan spaces, which would ensure a light, airy feel, and allow collaboration between colleagues. The timeframe for this project was tight, and Jade Aden Interiors kept to schedule to finish by the deadline. Find out how Jade Aden achieved their perfect office space below.
What We Did
Fresh thinking is at the Zest core and to convey that we went for a modern, industrial design featuring exposed steel – sprayed matte black for a wrought iron effect – and rustic cladded features throughout. This was highlighted with funky, modern lighting, exposed air conditioning units and wiring, and contemporary furniture.
We used glass screens from Komfort to create separated areas without compromising on light and flow, while an acoustic partition between the floor and the boardroom allows for a fully adaptable space that can create a private, soundproofed meeting room.
We carried out a complete fit-out of the Zest kitchen, which features an oven, hob, and two microwaves, giving everyone at Zest a roomy space to cook hot meals during their lunch break. Sourced from Howdens, the kitchen area continued the industrial design with matte black cabinets, LED lighting, and steel appliances.
In fact, the industrial theme continued throughout, with the bathrooms featuring exposed plumbing, iron-effect features, and grey walls with white tiles. The client was very happy with the result.
