Based in Poole, 288 Group is one of Dorset’s leading employers and is home to the Westminster Collection, a stamp and coin company, and Sitters, a well-known childcare provider.

288 Group wanted to create a lecture theatre for training and presentations, so they called on Jade Aden to transform their existing mezzanine floor into a practical, attractive space.

Implementation

We built the lecture theatre on top of a mezzanine floor that was being used as storage space. The new room was constructed using jumbo stud fire rated compartment partitions and acoustic suspended ceilings. This type of ceiling is ideally suited to spaces like lecture theatres because it enhances the acoustics of the room.

We worked with 288 Group previously on their office fit-out, which included stylish Flotex water and stain resistant wood effect flooring. We fitted the same flooring in their new lecture room, to seamlessly blend the new space with the rest of their office. Finally, to create an eye-catching feature, we opted for stunning digital image wallpaper.
